Hark, the prelude to the ball night,
a truly noble reception in one of Nuremberg's fairest courtyards.
It grants us the fitting setting for a collective greeting,
gentle discourse, compliments, and intrigues.
It also provides the apt stage for you to exhibit your splendor
in all its glory, and for our court painter
to capture the radiance of this assembly.
Hark, thenceforth shall the gathered revelers,
accompanied by sweet music, parade through yon ancient town
for all the common folk to witness, with stately steps proceeding to the dance.
This doth provide the fitting occasion for thee to display thyself
in all thy splendor.

Visitors to the event are expected
in 16th-century garb.
Only persons in historical clothing
from the Renaissance of the 16th century
or all clothing up to 1630 are admitted to the ball.
I ask you to comply with the requirements.
Please do not show up in cheap fancy dress costumes, thank you.
Due to the risk of injury,
we will refrain from carrying weapons at the ball!

has been reached by December 31, 2024.
