I invite you to a wild dance...
Dive into the Carnevale.
Ball, festival, masks, music, games and dance -
an intoxication of the senses, a bacchanalia.
Become nymphs, fauns and gods who unite
for one night and lose themselves in the dance.
Dionysus invites...
The ball takes place in the form
of the earlier balls at the carnival time.
According to the margrave's decree,
not only must everyone behave calmly
and with modesty, but also all estates
must keep themselves so equal
that no one makes a difference
in dancing or sitting to the break
and lag of others.
So there is no difference between status and rank.
It doesn't matter whether you're dressed up
or dressed up, everyone is welcome here,
everyone celebrates and dances together...
the renaissance of dance and balls.

In an intoxicating night of dancing
with enticing games and merrymaking,
we want to indulge in the festive mood
and lose in it.
The Nuremberg town hall hall is
the appropriate and glamorous setting
to spend a truly grandiose ball
with enjoyable country and contra dance.
As always, the focus is on dancing
and the desire for a charming encounter.
The event is characterized above all
by the use of original historical dances
between 1641 and 1830.

Enjoyable historical ballroom dancing
At the ball, all calls are in German and English,
but using the historical English names for the dance figures.
I orientate myself on the treatises of the epoch.
Dance descriptions will be sent prior
to the event and posted on the website.

I wish you smooth participation and lots of fun.
The program consists of mainly
light and amusing dances from the 17th century.
The visitors of the event are expected
in historical costumes of any epoch.

are admitted to the ball.
Due to the risk of injury,
we will refrain from carrying weapons at the ball!

The ball and most of the other events and workshops
will only take place if the minimum number of participants
for the
Ratsherrenball of 50 registrations
has been reached by December 31, 2022.
For this town hall ball, too, a minimum number
of 50 participants must be registered by December 31, 2022.
